10 Aamir Khan’s Movies inspired from Hollywood Movies

As his previous Yashraj project was a huge disappointment, the Dangal actor chooses to remake a Hollywood film for his next project.
This is not the first time, that he has worked in a Hollywood remake. Here’s a list of Aamir Khan’s movies that are remakes of classic Hollywood movies.

10. ‘Qyamat se Qyamat Tak’ remake of ‘Romeo and Juliet’

This 1988 musical romance film was directed by Mansoor Khan, featuring
Aamir Khan and Juhi Chawla in their debut film. The story of the film was heavily inspired by the 1968 romance drama film ‘Romeo and Juliet’ which itself was based on the play written by William Shakespeare.

9. ‘Dil Hai ki Manta Nahi’ remake of ‘It happened one Night’

‘Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahi’ was a 1991 romantic comedy film directed by Mahesh Bhatt. The film features Aamir Khan and Pooja Bhatt in a lead role. This was the debut film of the latter. The film was an unofficial remake of 1934 Hollywood film ‘It happened one Night.’

8. ‘Hum Hai Rahi Pyaar Ke’ remake of ‘House Boat’

‘Hum Hai Raahi Pyaar Ke’ was a 1993 romantic comedy-drama film. The movie was directed by Mahesh Bhatt featuring Aamir Khan, Juhi Chawla in the lead roles. The film’s story was very much similar to the 1958 American romantic comedy ‘House Boat.’
