July 17th is known and celebrated as Worlds emoji day, every year. World Emoji Day is an unofficial holiday that was observed by Jeremy Burge in 2014, who is the founder of Emojipedia. Emojis were first introduced in Japan back in the late 90s after a group of Japanese people working for a telecoms company needed a way to distinguish their pager service from those of the competitors.


Emojis play a crucial role in everyday life by enhancing and giving our conversations more life. Thinking of messages without emojis challenging for each one of us today. As we are getting busier with no time to type long messages, emojis, animated stickers are becoming the future form of messaging.

But do we really know the actual meaning of some of the emojis?
Here are five such emojis with their actual meaning-

This emoji surely looks like a strange red box and is confusing to many. But the meaning of this emoji is- The ultimate anger symbol. It’s often used when you are so enraged at someone that words and sassy anger emoji just won’t work!

Most of us use it in a way to indicate something magical or dreamy. But, does this shooting star looking like emoji actually mean the same? Well, it’s not a star at all. It actually means to indicate dizziness. So use it next time when you celebrated a little too hard last night.

Many of us know this emoji as someone with cold or a teardrop face. Well but this emoji is another sleeping emoji. Surprised? I know right!! The tear is not a tear but instead is a dribble, making it a sleepy drooling face.

Well, what do you think about this emoji? Its often used to show disappointment or sometimes deep thinking. But this emoji actually a person bowing deeply or apologising.

That same whiny emoji isn’t it? Often used when someone is frustrated and feels whiny. Although, it’s a tired face.
