JNU violence: Deepika Padukone visits JNU to express solidarity with the students

Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone has left the audience and her fans in storm as she graced her presence at the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) to stand in solidarity with the students. Deepika stayed for 10 minutes and left without uttering a word.

Students of JNU woke up to the horror of their lives when masked goons from a political party started attacking them with sharp weapons causing serious injuries.

While Deepika joined the protest alongside Kanhaiya Kumari, BJP member sent a tweet post in order to boycott the actress and her latest film Chhapaak.

BJP’s Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga “RT if you will boycott movies of Deepika Padukone for her support to #TukdeTukdeGang and Afzal Gang.”

The actress is also seen greeting the JNU Students Union President Aishe Ghosh who was brutally attacked by the masked goons. The latter sustained head injuries and was later admitted to the hospital. Deepika arrived in all black which is also the symbol of solidarity.

Lot of Bollywood actors came to support and protest against the attack on JNU students at the Gateway of India. Bollywood names includes Anurag Kashyap, Zoya Akhtar and many more.
