PM Modi Biopic Banned By Election Commission Till End Of Elections

The EC has now banned on releasing the Narendra Modi biopic one day just before its release in the theaters, by saying that any such movie which shows up the purpose of any political entity should not be displayed on the theaters.

The EC ordered the ban just one day before the release of the movie starting the Vivek Oberoi in the titular role.

The Bombay High court has also removed the plea filed by the Pune based congress for the stay on the release of the PM Narendra Modi biopic. The court says that it is all up to the Election commission to see if the release of the biopic is showing the moral code of conduct or not.

The biopic has got the “Unrestricted” certificate from the Central Board of the Film Certification yesterday.

After getting the removal of the plea from the Madras High court and getting the “U” certificate from the central board the movie producer and directors were so happy.

The movie was earlier scheduled to release on the 5th of April but later postponed for one week. The film stars the Barkha Bisht, Zarina Wahab, Boman Irani, Manoj Joshi, and others.
