Vivek Oberoi apologizes for the ‘Aishwarya Rai’s Meme’ post; after facing a lot of criticism from the Bollywood and the general public. Many Bollywood celebrities including Sonam Kapoor have slammed the actor for disrespecting Aishwarya Rai Bachchan on a social platform. The actor deleted the post from his official twitter handle and apologizes for his move.
After deleting the post, Vivek Oberoi tweeted, “Sometimes what appears to be funny and harmless at first glance to one, may not be so to others. I have spent the last 10 years empowering more than 2000 underprivileged girls. I can’t even think of being disrespectful to any women ever.”
Vivek Oberoi was slammed by the Twitter users and Bollywood celebrities for sharing a meme, developed by an anonymous Twitter user. The meme was basically taking a dig at the love affairs of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Though Vivek Oberoi took this meme in the right way and even laughed at the creativity of the maker, but was not spared by the Twitter users and celebrities of B-Town. Everyone accused him of disrespecting Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to which response, the actor has to delete his post from his twitter handle.
The meme was created by an unknown user, who referred the relationship of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as an opinion poll, exit poll, and final result respectively. Vivek Oberoi posted this meme on his official twitter handle, appreciating the creativity of the maker; but was slashed by the people for his comment. But now the actor has apologized in public and even deleted his post on same.
Vivek Oberoi’s upcoming movie is also set to release on May 24, 2019. The movie is titled as ‘PM Narendra Modi’ and is partially inspired by the life of current Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi.
